@fedesurfnica will hold the final competition of the national circuit here, just steps away from Los Cerros de Maderas, on November 16th and 17th. We are so excited to watch all the amazing surfers catch their best waves and compete for the national title of 2024!

Playa Maderas is one of the most consistent surf breaks around San Juan del Sur. But it is not just for surfing, we love to come down to the beach to hang out with friends and neighbors, watch kids play on the beach while the sun sets at the horizon.

COASTAL HIGHWAY / LA COSTAÑERA
Coastal highway update! Lots of progress is being made. The aim is to connect all the beautiful beaches of Nicaragua from North to South by a paved road along the coast.

Here is a video made of the recent progress in the Playa Maderas area. The progress right now seems slow, but I guess these tall, heavy retaining walls take some time to build.

The northern and southern beaches will all be connected which means travel time to/between them will be reduced and some inaccessible beaches can now be reached. And a paved road is a good influence on property values.

Very soon the driving time from your home in Los Cerros to San Juan del Sur will be drastically reduced and Playa Maderas will be directly connected to playa Majagual by road and then later to the beaches of Tola.
